ACA VS. AHCA
Paul Ryan and the GOP House unveiled the American Health Care Act (AHCA) on March 6th. The swirl around the newest Congressional proposal can confuse you, but the Kaiser Family Foundation put together some data and created a means for you to see its impact on you and your family. Their articles also explain the basic approaches between the two acts. Their interactive map includes county-level detail. This makes it easy to see if your circumstances would be affected by larger or smaller amounts.
SHIFT HEALTH INSURANCE TAX CREDITS
They also have a variety of articles to help you explain how tax credits are calculated and will be affected. The KFF site has downloadable data as well as other articles to help you get your head around this complex topic. But some of the figures make it quickly apparent who benfits and it’s not the poor or the elderly.
OBAMACARE = ACA = AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
Which is what is active now. The GOP House proposal is the AHCA. When you give your Representative a call now you can speak about specific impacts to you and your family, or your community of interest.
